Kumfs is arguably one of the most recognised and highly recommended orthotic friendly women’s fashion footwear in Australasia.
The New Zealand brand is founded by two podiatrist brothers-in-law, David Robertson and Mervyn Adams who started the business in the 1940s. They measured over 10,000 women’s feet just to develop the perfect last (mould for shoes), for perfectly fitting shoes.
Now helmed by David Robertson’s grandson, Andrew Robertson, Kumfs remains an iconic brand for comfortable footwear for generations of women, and continues to build on its reputation, reinventing its collections to benefit more women. Hence, the rebranding of Kumfs to Ziera.
A unique selling point for Ziera is Soft Journey™ Cushioning Technology, a state-of-the-art combination of Poron® rubber (the world’s most advanced microcellular shock absorbing material), Technogel® (a unique ‘soft-solid’ gel) and EVA for the ultimate in cushioning comfort. Like Kumfs, Ziera will also focus on its range of orthotic-capable shoes, giving a wide range of footwear options to the multitude of women who need that little extra support under their feet!
Ziera heralds an exciting new era for Kumfs. The new brand bodes a fresh, feminine and aspirational appeal that resonates with the confident and contemporary women of today. The description “Beautiful Inside, Beautiful Outside” says it all - both for Ziera, and for the way all women can aspire to feel.
